A complete compilation of all four parts to the LEGO Lord of the Rings mini-series that was produced earlier this year.

2 Legends of Chima back-story uncovered

The back-story for next years LEGO theme, Legends of Chima, has been revealed by The Hungarian Monobrand store on its Facebook page. To see a translation in English, head over to Brickset who has tidied up Google translates translation of the text.

2 10233 Horizon Express revealed!

A new LEGO Creator set has been unveiled at the LEGO fan weekend in Skaerberk. The new set is entitled, "10233 Horizon Express". The set consists of 1,351 pieces and will be priced at £79.99 in the United Kingdom, and $129.99 in the United States. The set is scheduled for release in January next year.

2 Review:Series 8 Vampire Bat

As per my last post, I bought a Vampire bat, pretty much just because the MF possibilities within the figure. Anyway, onto the review.

0 Series 8 hits Australia

Much later than thought, Series 8 has hit the stores in Australia. I picked up two packets, and found in them a Vampire Bat, and an Alien Villaines. Still overpriced $5, sadly.

0 BrickLink founder Dan Jezek's 2nd anniversary

The founder of the hugely popular unofficial LEGO market place, Dan Jezek, passed away two years ago on the 24th September, 2010, aged only 33 years. Three days ago Dan Jezek's family posted a message to the users of BrickLink regarding the 2nd anniversary of the passing of Dan Jezek.

2 Review: LEGO Ninjago - The Challenge of Samukai

A couple of weeks ago, Papercutz kindly sent all four LEGO Ninjago Graphic novels to me to read and review.

The first book in the LEGO Ninjago graphic novel series is entitled "The Challenge of Samukai!" and consists of 64 pages. The graphic novel was released on 8th November, 2011 and was written by Greg Farshtey and illustrated by Paulo Henrique.

The paperback variant of the book is priced at $6.99 US / $7.99 CAN and can be purchased from Papercutz.com. The hardcover variant is $10.99 US.

When I first received the books I was expecting to have to read up about the background of Ninjago in order to understand the basic concepts within the world of Ninjago. However I was proven wrong.

0 79003 An Unexpected Gathering revealed

A few days ago, an image of the official box art for the upcoming LEGO set, 79003 An Unexpected Gathering was revealed. The set features Gandalf the Grey, Bilbo Baggins, Balin, Bofur, Bombur, and Dwalin. All the minifigures that appear in this set are exclusive with the exception of Gandalf the Grey, and Bilbo Baggins. The set is scheduled for release on the 1st December, 2012.

A fan-made LEGO contraption device has been built by Japanese fan, Akiyuki. The viral video is embedded below:

0 LEGO Lord of the Rings pre-order extra

Well, as if receiving an exclusive Elrond minifigure wasn't enough, all pre-orders of the LEGO Lord of the Rings video game will also come with an unlock code to add five extra characters to the game (though the game has to be pre-ordered from GameStop or EB Games). The five extra playable characters are Sméagol, Prince Imrahil, Sauron, Beregond, and Théodred. These characters can only be obtained by pre-ordering the game.

2 LEGO Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out airs September 26

The new LEGO Star Wars TV series mentioned in my previous post has been officially confirmed over at StarWars.com. The TV series is called "LEGO Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out", a possible pun of the Episode 5 title, "The Empire Strikes Back". The first episode is to air at 8:00pm on 26th September this year on Cartoon Network. Times vary after the first episode.

0 Ninjago Character Encyclopedia now available from Amazon.com

The LEGO Ninjago Character Encyclopedia is now available for pre-order from Amazon.com. The book is can be purchased on pre-order at a reduced price of $21.91 (RRP $18.99). The book is a hardcover and will feature an exclusive minifigure of the Green Ninja in ZX form. The book is scheduled for release on the 29th October, 2012.

More LEGO Alarm Clocks have surfaced over at ToysRUs.com. The following alarm clocks are as follows: Savage Oppress, Cole, Kai, Lloyd, Fang Suei, Vampire, and Zombie.

The vampire and Zombie are not yet available.

The Kai alarm clock bears similar resemblence to the one in the image on the left.

A new advert has surfaced on Cartoon Network claiming that a new TV series called 'LEGO Star Wars' will air this Autumn. Clips from the new TV series can be found in the embedded video below.

0 Legends of Chima revealed!

The mysterious new theme Legends of Chima was revealed today when a "Pre Production Sample" of the set 70113 Chi Battles was posted on eBay. Images of the back of the box were also posted, showing a small image of another set, 70002.

0 LEGO Lord of the Rings Oin minifigure revealed?

An image of Oin in LEGO form has just surfaced. The image was posted on Facebook by John Callen. Currently there is no other images of this minifigure of the web so the image can't be proved to be authentic as of yet.

0 10188 and 10221 now 10% off at Amazon.com

10188 Death Star, and 10221 Super Star Destroyer are now 10% off at Amazon.com. Both sets have an RRP of $399.99 and have been reduced by $40 each (10% reduction) making them $359.99 each.

This reduction is unfortunately not available at Amazon.co.uk.

1 LEGO DUPLO team up with libraries in the US

A website called Read Build Play are running a competition for libraries in the US. The winning library receives $5,000, and the top 200 get innovative early literacy toolkits.

Instructions of the Star Wars Celebration Mini Slave I can now be found in the video below. The video builds the set slowly enough to see how to construct the set (if not you can always pause it). The parts list for the set can also be downloaded from Brickset.

Two new LEGO Star Wars alarm clocks have surfaced at ToysRUs.com. The first is a Shadow Trooper, the second is Darth Maul. Both alarm clocks are $24.99 each. The Shadow Trooper is a ToysRUs exclusive.

4 Autumn 2012 Catalogue dispatched

The LEGO Autumn 2012 Catalogue has been dispatched as I received mine on Saturday. The catalogue features the new Monster Fighters theme as well as the summer wave for themes such as Star Wars and Hero Factory, as well as the new theme, The Lord of the Rings.

The catalogue in the United Kingdom also features a £5 off (when you spend £50) voucher to use at LEGO Stores only. The voucher is valid from 5th September - 5th October, 2012.

1 3316 LEGO Friends Advent Calendar now available!

3316 LEGO® Friends Advent Calendar is now available from shop.lego.com despite earlier rumours that the set had been cancelled during the production stage. These rumours surfaced after LEGO cancelled orders from third-party sellers for the upcoming calendar.

The calendar is now available from shop.lego.com and hence presumably an exclusive meaning that the set is only available online, and at Official LEGO Stores. The calendar is priced at £19.99 and is limited to only five per customer.

3 10228 Haunted House available from shop.lego.com

10228 Haunted House is now available from shop.lego.com for £149.99. The set is composed of 2064 pieces, and features six minifigures, two of which are glow-in-the-dark ghosts. The set is only available from shop.lego.com and Official LEGO Stores.

1 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 4 and 5 reduced!

LEGO® Minifigures Series 4and LEGO® Minifigures Series 5have been reduced from £1.99, down to £1.39 each from shop.LEGO.com in the United Kingdom. Series 4 and 5 were are now hard to find in stores as many stopped stocking them a while back. Whenever I go to stores all I find is series 6-8 as well as the Olympic Minifigures so I'd suggest picking these up before they're gone too!

0 9509 Star Wars Advent Calendar 2012 now available in the UK

9509 Star Wars Advent Calendar is now available from Amazon.co.uk for £27.00. As stated in my previous posts, the advent calendar is also available from Toys R Us in the USA, and is available for €29,99 when pre-ordered from Amazon.de. The set is to be dispatched on 29th September from Amazon.de.

2 New Monster Fighters polybag

As if there wasn't enough of them, a new Monster Fighters polybag has surfaced. The set number is 5000644 and the name remains conjectural. The set features 12 pieces: a bat, crystal, jewel, skeleton, spider web, a glow in the dark spider and a sticker sheet.

7 8833 Minifigures Series 8 available at Tesco

Whilst visiting my local Tesco I spotted 8833 Minifigures Series 8 on sale at £1.97 each. There were several boxes on the shelves all of which were open. Unfortunately I could not find any that were still sealed or un-opened.

7 Elrond available with LEGO Lord of the Rings video game pre-order

In my previous post I talked about an Elrond minifigure that would be included with pre-orders of the LEGO Lord of the Rings video game, set for release on 30th October, 2012. Gamestop has now confirmed that the Elrond minifigure promotion is now available with all pre-orders of the upcoming LEGO Lord of the Rings video game. In my previous post it also stated that it was available only with the collectors edition, this has now changed and is now available on all platforms.

0 Star Wars 2013 sets

More news has surfaced about the new Star Wars sets to be released in January 2013. The new details (from Hoth Bricks) include their new 5-digit product numbers (beginning with 75XXX), and a few extra sets that haven't been previously mentioned.
