A new video has surfaced on YouTube of a LEGO Friends TV episode. The episode is spoken in Greek and only one is known to exist currently. Whether The LEGO Group are creating a TV show for the Friends theme is yet to be determined.

The LEGO Group has been officially crowned the world’s largest tyre manufacturer in the world as it celebrates its 50th Anniversary of the LEGO Wheel. According to LEGO.com, 318 million LEGO tyres are produced each year. That's the equivalent of 870,000 each day.

Google has released a new feature for Chrome users called "Build". Build is a mini LEGO Digital Designger (LDD) made in partnership with LEGO Australia to allow Chrome users to create and post their models onto a landmark or street on a map of Australia or New Zealand.

LEGO has recently announced that LEGO Batman and Superman will appear in the new LEGO movie, "The Piece of Resistance" scheduled for release on February 28, 2014. The film will be directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller and will include Will Arnett voicing Batman and Channing Tatum voicing Superman.

LEGO has released two new adverts for the the Star Wars theme. The first advert features sets from the Clone Wars subtheme, such as 9488 Saesee Tiin's Jedi Starfighter and 9515 The Malevolence. The second advert features sets from the subtheme, The Old Republic, such as 9500 Sith Fury-class Interceptor and 9497 Republic Striker Starfighter.

0 LEGO Team GB Minifigures now available!

The LEGO Team GB Minifigures are now available and have been found in various stores across the UK, including a few branches of John Lewis, despite the official release date being July 1. The minifigures are rumoured to cost an extra 50p in comparison to the previous series of Minifigures, and are now priced at £2.49. However, this series of minifigures are only available in the UK and only nine are available to collect in comparison to the standard sixteen. So if you live abroad and want these minifigures, your best chance of purchasing them will be on eBay or Bricklink.

Today LEGO announced on their LEGO CUUSOO blog that 21102 Micro World is shipping now and that 21101 Hayabusa will be shipping soon from July 8th.

LEGO left the following message on their CUUSOO blog:

"We're happy to announce that LEGO Minecraft Micro World is now shipping! If you pre-ordered your LEGO Minecraft set on J!NX, they began shipping pre-orders in the order received starting June 13, so if you have not received it yet, look forward to it arriving soon."

"If you haven't gotten yours yet and are you are purchasing other Minecraft-related merchandise, your best bet is to order your Minecraft set from J!NX. If you're ordering other LEGO sets or are building up your VIP Points, you can order from LEGO Shop at Home. LEGO Minecraft Micro World retails for $34.99 / €34,99."

Over at ReBrick, a social site for teenage and adult LEGO fans, they are holding their very first competition. The competition started on the 18th June and ends on the 16th July. However all entries have to be submitted by the 9th July.

The competition is open to all registered ReBrick users, 16 years old or over. The competition is to build a creation with an octopus (or squid) in it. The winner of the competition will be the creation with the highest number of likes at ReBrick. The prize for the winner is the LEGO Inside Tour exclusive, 4000012 Piper Airline of which only 53 exist in total. The winner will be announced on 17th July.

New gameplay footage of the next LEGO video game, LEGO Lord of the Rings has just surfaced on YouTube after Wired.com got a chance to play some of the new game. The game is being developed by TT Games and will be released at some point in October this year. The game will be available to most platforms.

0 July LEGO Store Calendar

The LEGO store calender for July is now available and can be viewed here. There is a lot to look forward to in July including the release of the Team GB Minifigure Series on July 1st, and several new promotions!

From 1st - 31st July you can earn 50 bonus VIP points on selected sets, and receive a free Mini Sopwith Camel when you spend £50 or more while stocks last. Also starting from 1st July is the next collectable limited edition Pick-a-Brick model of a Zoo Keeper with a parrot. The bricks to build this model can be bought from the Pick-a-Brick wall at LEGO stores.

Also from 5th July onwards the free monthly mini model build will be available for those aged between 6 and 14. LEGO stores across the UK are also holding the LEGO Games from Friday, 13th July - Friday, 27th July where LEGO fans can take part in various games.

Lastly, some new sets that will be available at shop.lego.com include, 21013 Big Ben, 8909 Team GB Minifigures, 6141 My First Farm, and 3864 Mini-Taurus.

Machinima has just released a new trailer for the new video game, LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes. The new trailer shows the minifigures talking, just like they do in the LEGO Lord of the Rings video game. This would seem to appear to be a new feature in LEGO video games from now on and comes to a surprise to many fans as all the previous LEGO video games contained no proper dialogue with only a few groans and mumbles. The game will include many of the DC Superheroes, most of which will be playable characters. The new game will be developed by TT Games and released on June 22, 2012.

The long anticipated Monster Fighters are now available at shop.lego.com in the UK. The only question is, are they supposed to be available for purchase yet? Or has an employee at LEGO made a mistake just like with the summer wave of Star Wars sets? Who knows, I guess we will have to wait and see, though my advice would be to purchase the sets you want now in case another mistake has been made...

10228 Haunted House was revealed yesterday at the Mall of America to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of The Mall of America. The set features six minifigures, a male and female vampire, Frankenstein's monster butler, a zombie chef, and two glow-in-the-dark ghosts. The set is composed of 2064 pieces and is the biggest set in the Monster Fighters theme priced at £119.99. The set is scheduled for release at the beginning of September this year.

Ever wondered what happens to a crushed LEGO set box that you then return to Toys R Us? I've got an answer. Last year I talked to an official Toys R Us employee who deals with returns. He said that when a LEGO product/set gets damaged, it gets returned to the LEGO Headquarters of the country their in and LEGO repackages the set in a new box and sends it back to the store for free.

All the summer 2012 LEGO Star Wars sets have been removed from shop.LEGO.com in the UK today. A user named Firox 5000 says that he posted on LEGO's wall when 9516 Jabba's Palace was removed earlier in the week only be told that they shouldn't have been on shop.lego.com at all. However those who made their orders earlier before they were removed have said that they have recieved them.

It's time for the Ninjas to pack their bags as BZPower.com claims that LEGO Ninjago will end in 2013, despite proving to be a very popular theme amongst LEGO fans.

However, a new theme will be released in 2013 to replace Ninjago, and according to set designer Kevin Hinkle, the new theme will "make the Ninjago fans ask why they didn't end it sooner".
